Social Media for Beginners
Do you, small business owner, use social networking/social media to market your business? If yes, GREAT! Keep it up, continue to educate yourself about new sites and new information to help you grow your business.
If you do not use social networking, yet, it's time to get a move on!
First of all, it's free advertising! Secondly, it helps you expand your networking circle, quickly! Thirdly, it helps you increase your search engine presence.
Think of social networking as being your sales and marketing team at work; this is how you get your message, your business, and your product out there to the public. It is the place for you to share your knowledge and your expertise in your field.
To get started, figure out who you want to bring into your network. Who do you want to target with your social networking efforts? Then begin the research - which social networking tools will be most beneficial to you? Is it Facebook, LinkedIn, Blogger.com, YouTube, Digg, Netlog, or one of the many others?
Then, pick a few to focus on. Develop your detailed profile on these networking sites - make them content-rich, and begin to build your network. Invite everyone in your contact lists to join you, and you will watch your circle of friends (and potential clients!) grow.
Stay tuned for more information on this subject in later blogs!
